About PACS

Our History

Premium Aged and Community Services was established in 1990 to provide private nursing care in the Moree area.



Many elderly people around Moree were forced into care, who with a little help could have remained in their own homes. The whole focus of the organisation remains the same – to allow people to make choices about the care they receive and how it is delivered, and to assist people to live as independently as possible for as long as possible in their own homes.

In the past 30 years the organisation has expanded to provide a full range of planned and emergency care support services 24 hours a day 7 days per week to the Central Coast, New England, Northern Tablelands, North Coast and other regions of New South Wales; as well as Southern Queensland areas including Brisbane, Darling Downs, Beaudesert, Gold and Sunshine Coast

Premium Aged and Community Services is one of the largest non-government community aged care and respite provider in the New England Region providing efficient and effective personalised services and care. PACS provide services including, but not limited to: respite, personal care – including continence care, specialised nursing care, assistance of daily living for clients with and without cognitive impairment, assistance with meals, home help and maintenance, medication management, would care, palliative care, management and support at all levels for frailer older people living in retirement villages.

PACS has been in operation for 30 years in the New England region, 20 in the Central Coast, 12 in Queensland. During that time, we have had significant expansion in the size of the business and the range of services we are able to provide. To operate a successful business over such diverse communities requires a strong, effective management team, professional staff and the ability to work cooperatively with established service providers to build strong networks. This ability to work cooperatively to achieve positive outcomes is what underpins our present service and brokerage agreements.

PACS has a strong working relationship with government and non-government agencies such as: Meals on Wheels, Community Health, Primary Healthcare, Local GP’s, Hospitals and Community Transport. This enables us to give informed advice to our clients about services that can be available to them and to facilitate their access. Services also include a range of options available to rural, remote and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders (ATSI) clients. This translates for our clients benefits into increased sustained independence.

PACS is currently contracted by the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Veterans Home Care (VHC) and CHSP, along with numerous other local government bodies and private services.

Our Head office is located in Peel street Tamworth, and other offices located in Warialda and the Central Coast.
