Premium Aged and Community Services is closely monitoring and responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic and advice provided by the NSW and QLD Governments.

We’re extremely proud of the ongoing efforts and commitment of our employees to the health, safety, and wellbeing of our clients during the pandemic and their continued dedication in this challenging time.

Our Commitment to being COVID Safe

Our priority is keeping our community safe. We have worked hard during the pandemic to keep our clients and staff as safe as possible. We will continue to do this by:

  • The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • COVID Screening for all clients. A few COVID Screening questions prior to the commencement of services informs us of the actions we need to take to keep everyone safe.
  • Following strict hygiene and infection control protocols.
  • Our Staff will not attend services if they have any symptoms of COVID-19, or are a close contact of a positive case, or are yet to be cleared after known exposure.
  • All staff are vaccinated as per Public Health Orders.
  • Mask Wearing for all services as per relevant guidelines.
  • We are reducing risk by following all aged care provider recommendations in the relevant state or territory.

Service Challenges

The Omicron variant is highly transmissible and positive cases are increasingly identified with the introduction of Rapid Antigen Testing. This can have an impact on our service delivery as staff isolate and recover.

We want to reassure our clients and their families that we are doing everything we can to minimise service disruption, however this can result in service changes and cancellations whilst maintaining essential services.

Our care coordination team will be in contact with clients as soon as possible to communicate any changes to services.

How you can help

COVID Safe is about everyone working together. It is very important everyone does their part such as personal hygiene, proactively reporting, assessing their own exposure risk and keep yourself up to date with the status of COVID-19. We have provided some helpful information on steps you can take to protect yourself, as well as helpful links, below.

  • Our clients should take the following precautions to protect their health and that of our staff members:
  • Wear a surgical mask during service delivery.
  • Follow social distancing guidelines where possible.
  • Maintain good hand hygiene – regularly between meals, after going to the toilet, after coughing and sneezing and after being in contact with others.
  • Participate in our COVID Screening prior to service commencement
  • If you are experiencing symptoms or have identified you have been in close contact with a confirmed case, then it is very important you notify your care coordinator immediately. Contact Your Care Coordinator on 1300 826 219
